Would you like to help further the mission of Children’s Hope Alliance? We have volunteer opportunities year-round available through our Heartstrings Music & Art Program. This program is designed to provide therapeutic music and art learning opportunities for children in need who live within driving distance of the program, located on our Barium Springs campus.
We would love to partner with you to help bring hope, health, and healing to hurting children and families!
Be aware that due to privacy laws and the confidential nature of what we do at Children’s Hope Alliance, volunteer contact with children is very limited. This is to protect not only the children but our volunteers as well. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
All volunteers need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Step 1. Consider these volunteer opportunities:
Heartstrings – Music Instructors
The Children’s Hope Alliance Heartstrings Program is looking for experienced instrumental (guitar, keyboard, recorder, drums, percussion, etc.) and vocal instructors to lead private music lessons at our Barium Springs Campus location. Many of our clients have never had opportunities to participate in music classes, but they have a strong interest in music education. We are looking for caring and talented musicians to help foster a love of music and assist interested clients learn a new instrument or enhance their skills.
Heartstrings – Art Instructors
The Children’s Hope Alliance Heartstrings Program is looking for experienced art instructors for photography, oil, watercolor, and acrylic painting, drawing, mixed media, printmaking, and clay hand building to lead small group art lessons at our Barium Springs Campus location. Many of our clients have never had opportunities to participate in art classes, but they have a strong interest in art education. We are looking for caring and talented artists to help foster a love of art and assist interested clients learn new art media or enhance their skills.
Heartstrings – Arts & Crats Volunteers
The Children’s Hope Alliance Heartstrings Program is looking for volunteers to instruct arts and crafts classes for children and possibly their families at our Barium Springs Campus location. Many of our clients have never had opportunities to participate in arts and crafts classes, but they have a strong interest in being creative and learning self-expression through art. We are looking for caring and talented volunteers to help foster a love of arts and crafts with our clients.
Heartstrings – Yoga Instructors
The Children’s Hope Alliance Heartstrings Program is looking for experienced Yoga instructors for lessons at our Barium Springs Campus location. The Yoga Instructor is responsible for providing a balanced yoga practice for participants of all levels and abilities, providing progressions and regressions when necessary, and educating participants on appropriate breathing principles and safe transitioning techniques. The yoga instructor should be experienced and certified with knowledge of the history, philosophy, and ethics of yoga. The volunteer yoga instructor should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as lead yoga sessions.
