Conference Speakers

MAX MCINTOSH

Max McIntosh is a licensed professional counselor who has been working with sexually abused and sometimes sexually abusive children and adolescents for the last 17 years. She is an avid consumer of research on the brain, an abuse survivor herself, a long-time math teacher and tutor, a former therapeutic foster parent, and a specialist in child trauma. She is currently the senior clinician for trauma informed services in the Children’s Hope Alliance outpatient therapy department.

RON STIER

In 1987, Ron began his journey as a “Change Agent” in a residential group home for children ages 7-17 in Marquette, MI. By 1988, he and his wife were certified as Family Teachers through the Teaching-Family Association. Ron later became a staff trainer and consultant. He and his wife have also been licensed foster parents in Michigan and North Carolina. Ron has been employed with Children’s Hope Alliance for 12 years and is currently a Post Adoption Support Specialist. In 2017, he received the Teaching-Family Association Distinguished Practitioner Award. He is also a Certified Instructor in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention through the Crisis Prevention Institute. In 2018, he became certified as a professional speaker, trainer, and coach for the John Maxwell Leadership Team.

HUDAA HADIYAH

Hudaa is a native of Greensboro, NC. She is a graduate of GTCC Jamestown and Capella University. Since 2008, Hudaa has spent the bulk of her career as a licensed cosmetologist. She started her non-profit organization Closing the Gaps in 2014. One of her initiatives is Making A Difference Everywhere through hair (M.A.D.E). The primary purpose of M.A.D.E is to reach out to the less fortunate and provide hair services and education. Hudaa believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to look good, feel good and receive the proper education to be able to maintain their look in between scheduled hair care appointments.

CORPORAL BUTCH MOORE, Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department

Corporal Butch Moore has 29 years of combined sworn status in local and federal law enforcement. He has served as a Senior Judicial Security Inspector, worked with the US Department of Justice, and with US Marshals Service with Top Secret Security Clearance. Corporal Moore supervised and established the district’s Violent Fugitive Task Force for five years which resulted in the arrest of over 1,000 armed and dangerous felons, including 70 arrests for murder. He is an FBI Trained – Hostage Negotiator. Corporal Moore is involved with United States Secret Service – Dignitary Protection. He received a 100% rating from USMS HQ, including numerous awards, and a Director’s Distinguished District Award.
